Your Neighbor in Real Estate: Sharing with Spidey ~It's Home!

Sharing with Spidey ~It's Home!

After living in my generous sized home for almost 15 years, it was time to downsize. But where oh where to go? Until I settle that question, I am spending some time with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, 8 and 6.

Spiderman et al
They live in a large house in Eastvale, California, where I have the guest room and share the bathroom with Spiderman, motorcycles, soldiers, WWE fighter guys, and the aforementioned grandsons.

I share everyday with my grandsons, and behold this great world again through their young eyes.

I also participate in such daily rituals as making sure their bears, Oscar and Jake, have the tv remotes close to them, so that after the boys go to school and if Oscar and Jake want to watchBears and Remote1 tv, the remotes are within their grasp. Thank goodness, they haven't actually turned on the tv, but they can if they want.

There's an in ground swimming pool and spa to relieve those real estate aches. There's a trampoline for the boys to jump around on. There's an herb garden and wriggly worms to visit now and then. There's a basketball hoop where I have been known to swish a few in. There are about 3 or 4 skateboards that I go nowhere near. Stupid, I am not. There is a community park within walking distance, and a community center with many activities for young and mature alike.

Sometimes, I take them to school, help with homework or make them waffles for breakfast.

They keep me on my toes and share the joy of living with "young uns" again!
Halloween is coming up, as well as the holidays ~ which will be great fun in this old, new, Home.

There's an old saying that grandkids are wonderful because they go back home after they visit. Well, here, they don't go back home.

We ARE home and it's Great.

Sandy, so many families have many generations living together, maybe you have already found your "downsized home".

Hi Joan, Yes, it's true. Things may  be going that way as well. Thanks for your insight.

You are a very lucky grandmother. All will remember the quality time spent with those that you love.

What a nice set up you all have.  The boys don't know it yet but they will have some very fond memories of living with grandma when they were small.  You're very lucky.

Sandy - It sounds like you're having a wonderful time with your family. My mom flew down from Minnesota last month, stayed with us for 2 weeks and we loved having her here.
