Your Neighbor in Real Estate: Trying to Time the Market?..... fuhgeddaboudit!

Trying to Time the Market?..... fuhgeddaboudit!

Trying to Time the Market?.....   fuhgeddaboudit!

Now is a Good Time to BuyTrying to time the real estate market in Oxnard, CA.  is a game you can win only only by coincidence or luck.

Unemployment remains a concern. An increase in the number of new households is predicated on an increase in jobs. Even if we have seen the worst of the recession, most analysts believe the housing recovery could be rocky for years. A quick turnaround is probably not on the horizon.

What is for sure right now are the ‘not seen for decades’ low interest rates. What is for sure right now are lower home prices.

It is really quite simple. You need to do what is best for you Right Now.

  • Sometimes it is just better to cut your losses and Move On
  • Sometimes if you sell Right Now and lose some of that equity, you will make it up in the lower priced house you buy Right Now.
  • Sometimes when you clear all the price noise in your head and focus on a simple path, you'll end up sleeping better and worrying less.
  • We won’t know if it is the bottom of the market until it is too late and prices are already rising.

Think again, if you think you will know the exact time to buy or sell in Oxnard, CA.  Just like the old “Brooklynism” goes ….fuhgeddaboudit!

Hi Sandy,  The combination of great inventory, historically low financing and sellers who appreciate a well qualified buyer make this a classic buyers' market.  For most, the next time they see the bottom of the market will be in their rear view mirror !!!

Hi Bill, My thoughts Exactly!

Hi Curtis, so true. Why can't they understand the word, "Now!"

Hi Pat, We just need to keep nudging them  in the right direction. I don't want to hear them say, "If only I had..."

Great thoughts Sandy, I think you have given a bunch of great reason while we should by now.

Hi Tom, You would think it is enough, I hope so. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Valerie, do you know what I would pay for a crystal ball? Then I could rent it out to agents, and retire from real estate. Happy Valentien's Day!

Hi Richard, Happy V Day to you too! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day.

It's never the right time - especially in our market!  Buyers are all motivated by price!

Hi Renee, It is usually about price first, isn't it?

If we all had a crystal ball there would'nt be any short sales now, so you're right, consumers need to do what's right for them now and NOW is a great time to buy!

Sandy, we've seen an uptick on the buyers side the last couple of months. Hoping this will be a good year for all.

Sandy - You've brought up excellent points, as Renee said I don't think there is ever a "good time" to sell.
